Daniele Bagolin and Federico Patuzzi in the promotional image for the 2026 Bombo Middle Cut Award.
The ceremony was held on 14 August 2026 in Antico Saudi, in the province of Rimini, before an audience of nine.
The award celebrates mid-length films: works too long to be shorts and too compact to become features. Bagolean's winning film explores the meeting of the myth of Ulysses and artificial intelligence.
With this win, Daniele Bagolin joins the Bombo Middle Cut Award roll of honour as its 2026 winner.
